Active Areas of Research

• Surface spectroscopy, particularly of adsorbates on carbon and metal electrodes
• Relationships between electrode surface structure and electron transfer reactivity
• Analytical Raman spectroscopy applied to pharmaceutical and biomedical samples including human tissues
• Raman imaging of submonolayer films on both ordered and disordered carbon surfaces
• Spectroscopy of chromate corrosion inhibiting films on aluminum alloys
