Group Meeting Schedule

Group meetings for Spr08 are on Mondays from 3:30-5:30pm in 2136 (except for a few days). Check the group calendar for a full listing. Group lunch will be on Thursdays at ~12:30pm, and we meet in 2140NW before going to lunch. McCoy group calendar

Congratuations Charlotte!
On Wednesday, May 23, 2007, Charlotte Hinkle successfully defended her Masters' thesis on "Diffusion Monte Carlo Studies of the Excited States of CH5+." The group celebrated her success by having a party at El Vaquero, Mexican restaurant. Great job Charlotte!
New positions for former group members!
José López, Anne's most recent Ph.D. graduate, was hired to a tenure track position at Universidad de Antioquia in his native Colombia. José will start in Autumn 2007. Hee-Seung Lee, another of Anne's Ph.D. students, was also hired to a tenture track position. Her position at the Univeristy of North Carolina (Wilmington) will also begin in Autumn 2007. Additionally, former McCoy group post-doc Lichang Wang, a professor at Southern Illinois University (Carbondale), was awarded tenure. Our hats off to you! We couldn't be happier!
Gé Vissers returns home!
On Sunday, Aug. 28, 2006, our post-doc Gé Vissers finished his stay with us and returned home with his wife, a post-doc in Eric Herbst's group, to the Netherlands! Goodbye Gé and Herma! We will miss you!

On Monday, Mar. 13, 2006, Lindsay Johnson successfully defended her Masters' thesis on CH5+.
