Report In April Dear everyone, Our church building was literally falling apart. Pieces from the outside wall fell off. We decided to fix our building and get it painted. A couple of years ago, a Japanese Christian lady who is a widow contributed approximately $7500 for the purpose of repairing the building. That time we were thinking about selling our property, so we did not spend it immediately. But this time we needed to spend it. Besides we cannot sell our property anyway. We will stay where we are. I regret that I cannot send you a picture of the new looking building. My digital camera broke. My family and I plan to visit people in the U.S. from the end of September to the end of October. I would like to make a fundraising for a new building. We made forty copies of the video that shows the condition of the building. If any congregation wants me to come and explain our needs, I will go while I am in the U.S. Meantime, the Japanese congregation will save money for the building funds. This year 10000 yen a month. Next year I hope we will do more as the number of Japanese Christians will increase. Our Bible studies have been very steady. Here is our study schedule. Tuesday: Bible study class in English with four Japanese ladies. This is led by Beverly Arnold, who is a member of Yokota church of Christ. Wed morning: Three Bible study classes in English. There are five students. Led by Beverly. Wed evening: Japanese Bible study. There are two students. Led by Mari Sunday: Japanese worship service. Regular adult attendants are six including Mari and me. Two of them are new Christians. Two of them are seeking truth. We have Free Pizza Party every other month and invite non-Christians around our community. In His service, Masa
