Dear Christian friends in the
world,
Greetings from Tokyo, Japan.
To tell you the truth, there
have been times of confusion, discouragement, self-doubt, and Satan's
whispers. "Masa, you are not fit for this kind of work. You are
wasting your time and your friends' financial and moral
support." In the midst of the time of testing my faith, two days ago
(today is Oct 26) I had a Bible study with the businessman about who I have been
talking to you since two years ago. Listening and talking, listening and
talking, listening and talking, it went on for three hours. He began to
express his faith in God. He confessed that when he had owned his own
company, he had been the god, the king, the counselor in the company. Now
he realized that he needs to put an eternal God as the only God in a right
place. As I have written to you before (if you remember), he is a very
self-confident man. He is still one and has many things to work on just
like anybody else. From time to time, he has expressed himself, saying
"It is most difficult to for me to accept Jesus' words in Luke 9:23 'if any
man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and
follow me.'" For him, if he denies himself, he has to give up his own
confidence and pride. I do not know where he is going from where he is
now. God knows. My responsibility is to accurately teach him about
the will of God through the word of God. I would appreciate your
prayers.
Recently I have put together a Japanese homepage
as I informed you in the previous letter. This is exclusively for
non-Christians for the purpose of reaching out to them. I also put
together an English written homepage. This homepage*s purposes are to
inform you how I have been evangelizing Japanese people, how my family (Mari,
Ken, and Riki) are doing, and how we Japanese Christians are doing as a
whole. I will add more to the page. Every report will be on the page
from now on. If you still want me to send a report through e-mail, please
let me know. URL http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Fuji/7801
In this page, I would like to introduce my sponsoring congregation, and all the
churches and individuals who have been supporting our work. If you don*t
want me to put your name on the page in public, please let me know. I will
accordingly.
In His Name, Masa
