or you may submit your application directly to 100 Celeste Laboratory. One application will suffice for ALL of the different scholarships. Please see descriptions about the Chemistry scholarships.
DEADLINE
The letters of application and recommendation must be received by Wednesday, April 2, 2008. To facilitate the award process, each student must have a current financial aid (FAFSA) form on file with the Financial Aid office prior to the selection process.
REQUIREMENTS
To hold the scholarship, you must be a B.A. or B.S. Chemistry major of at least rank 2 standing for autumn 2008 with a major program on file in 100 Celeste Lab. Awards will be based on course record, a description of your career goals (including possibly graduate school, education (K-12) or professional programs), progress in an undergraduate research project (if applicable), and your recommendation letter. Financial need is often a consideration for an award, so your FAFSA form is critical and must be on file with the financial aid office before the final award can be made.
AWARDS
Awards will be distributed over the 2008-2009 academic year and will be processed through the Office of Financial Aid. The announcement of awards will be made by May 1, 2008.
