_blank Rules for conduct in the Undergraduate Computer Laboratories

You have been assigned a computer account to allow you to fulfill the requirements for a chemistry course within which you are enrolled. There are a number of policies on the use of both the computers and computer labs, which you are require to follow to maintain the account. Abuse of these policies will result in the loss of your privileges.

_blank The security of your account and the labs are of concern for all. Do not share your account or password with anyone!

_blank Do not provide access to the computer labs for anyone!

_blank The computer labs are provided for students to use software not available elsewhere. MP2047: priority use is for Physical and Analytical Chemistry students.
MP0008: priority use is for students requiring Spartan, Gaussian or other computational chemistry software.

If another student has a more valid use of the computer in a lab, i.e. they require specific software, relinquish the computer.

_blank No food or drinks are allowed in the computer labs.

_blank The computer lab is a shared work area, treat others with respect, and work quietly!

_blank Do not remove reference materials from the lab.

_blank Leave the labs clean!

_blank Printing: Only certain Chemistry courses will provide limited printing. When you have exceeded your limit, you will no longer be able to print in the computer labs.

In addition to these specific rules, you are also responsible for all OSU and Departmental rules for the use of computers on campus. See: Policies By using your chemistry account, you agree to accept all of these policies.
