- PC Details:
Proceed as follows:
- Open the document you wish to print and go to /File/Print...
- The Print dialog box appears on screen. In the section called
"Printer" beside the item "Name:", make sure the following
entry appears, "\\print-server\2105NW". If this
does not appear, you may choose it from the drop-down menu.
Pick any other options you wish from this screen. Then, click
on the "Properties" button.
- The printer properties dialog box appears on screen. Click on
the "Configure" tab, then check the "Duplexing Unit" checkbox
(one of the items listed under "Paper Handling Options")
- Click on the "Finishing" tab, then check the "Print on Both Sides"
checkbox (listed under "Document Options"); the 2-sided pages
printed could be bound along the left side edge of the pages,
using this, the default value. If you wish, you may also check
the "Flip Pages Up" checkbox, so that the 2-sided pages printed
could be bound along the top edge of the pages).
- Choose any other print options desired listed under any of the
printer properties tabs. When done, click on the OK button to
accept your choices and close the printer properties dialog box.
Finally, click on the OK button on the Print dialog box to close
that dialog box and send the job to the printer.
- Mac Details:
First, make sure you select the correct printer. There should already be an
icon present on the Mac's desktop for the HP 4000TN printer, called "2105NW
". Click once on the icon to select it, and under the
"Printing" menu, choose "Set Default Printer".
Then, proceed as follows:
- Open the document you wish to print and go to /File/Print...
- The Printer dialog box appears on screen. Pick any other
options you wish from this screen. Then, click on the
"Options" button.
- The Print Options dialog box appears on screen. From the drop-
down menu associated with the "2-Sided Printing" item, choose
either the "Flip on Long Edge (Standard)" or "Flip on Short
Edge" option, depending upon whether you would like the 2-sided
pages printed so that they could be bound along the long or
short edge of the pages.
- Choose any other print options desired listed within the Print
Options dialog box. When done, click on the "OK" button to
accept your choices and close the Print Options dialog box.
Finally, click on the "Print" button on the Printer dialog box
to close that dialog box and send the job to the printer.
