Panel 2: A gas fills a container
A gas in a container will spread out (change its volume and shape) to
fill the entire container. (This behavior should be contrasted with
a solid, whose shape and volume is independent of the container, and a
liquid, whose shape changes to match the container but whose volume
remains constant.)
