CMR Spotlight - Bern Kohler
Last week the work of Bern Kohler, associate professor of chemistry, was featured on the Center for Materials Research Web site. Professor Kohler's research interests include studying the photophysical and photochemical consequences of electronic excitation in the condensed phase by ultrafast pump-probe spectroscopy.

Periodically the research of a CMR affiliated faculty member will be highlighted in its newsletter and on the CMR Web site under "Research Spotlight." The purpose of this feature is to stimulate and strengthen multidisciplinary collaborations among faculty.

Meek Lecture: May 5-6
Dr. Carl F. Kohrt, President and CEO of Battelle Memorial Laboratories, will present the Devon W. Meek Memorial Lectures, on Thursday, May 5 and Friday, May 6 in the Department of Chemistry. More details to follow in future newsletters.
