expertise in the preparation of organic molecules and have a strong background
in synthetic organic chemistry. Candidate must be experienced in the use of
HPLC, LCMS, IR and NMR instrumentation and the interpretation of the data
generated as required for the analysis and characterization of organic

Synthetic Organic Chemist, Ph.D. preferred; responsible for the design,
synthesis, purification and isolation of potential drug candidates using
traditional synthetic chemistry approaches (singletons) and/or parallel
chemistry techniques (libraries). The scientist will develop new synthetic
routes and techniques to prepare novel chemical matters, solve challenging
technical and scientific problems involved in the small- and large-scale
syntheses of novel compounds, and participate a a team member in chemistry and

a. Associate/Senior Associate/Senior Editor, Scientific Journal-Chemistry
Position primarily researches, reports, writes and edits articles for
Analytical Chemistry. Topics include mass spectrometry & its instrumentation,
surface science and bioanalysis. Some editing of the work of staff members
and freelancers may be required. May also be responsible for performing
editorial and production tasks and contributing to the editorial content.

b. Managing Editor, ACS Chemical Biology
Position is responsible for working with ACS Chemical Biology to implement the
overall editorial mission of the product and for ensuring that the publication
and the website are produced on time, on budget, and with appropriate levels
of quality in both content and functionality. In addition, it is responsible
for supervising the design and production of the publication on the web and in

c. Managing Editor, ACS Nano
Position if responsible for working with the Editor-in-Chief of ACS Nano and
the polymers and materials sciences Acquisitions Editor at ACS. This new
periodical is intended to capture a flagship position at the strategically-key
interface between chemistry, materials science, physics, biology and

Postdoctoral Fellowship Opportunities1. GAANN Doctoral Fellowships (Clinical-Bioanalytical Chemistry)
Cleveland State University's (CSU) Department of Chemistry is now accepting
applications for four GAANN doctoral fellowships for full-time study in
Clinical-Bioanalytical Chemistry. The program is offered in conjunction with
The Cleveland Clinic, and affords students access to unique facilities and
resources, and a ready network to world-class basic and applied research.

These fellowships provide tuition for full-time study and yearly stipends of
up to $30,000 based on need and are renewable for a total of three years.
Eligibility is restricted to U.S. citizens and permanent residents holding a

laser, microelectronics, and photonics industry. Exciton has an opening for a
bachelor’s or master’s degree chemist at its plant near downtown Dayton,
Ohio. The responsibilities of the open position include all aspects of dye
synthesis and production, from synthetic method development through quality
