Theoretical Materials Chemistry - The Aikens groups at KSU focueses on the
application and development of electronic structure theory and related methods
for materials chemistry systems

2. Biophysics Group at National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST)-
Formerly the Laser Applications Group, the newly-formed biophysics group
emphasizes interdisciplinary research in selected areas of biophysics, advanced
spectroscopies, and optics. Projects areas are advanced spectroscopies and
microscopies, nano-optical probes, imaging technologies, and associated
theoretical models to solve problems in biophysics and bioanotechnology in the
areas of biomolecular and cellular structure, function, interactions, and
dynamics in support of the needs of the healthcare, biotechnology and
pharmaceutical industries.
