Chemistry in the Olesik Group
Novel Separation Chemistry and Polymer Studies
Welcome to the Susan Olesik research group home page. The focus of our research is
in the field of separation science and conducted in the Department of Chemistry at The Ohio State University. Our group seeks to develop highly
selective separations techniques. The strengths of the research group lie in the detailed understanding
of supercritical fluids and high fluidity liquid solvents. In addition, fundamental studies of the
properties of these solvents continues. Another thrust area is the development of new materials for
use as chromatographic stationary phases.
