XPS @ OSU Chemistry

Students, staff and faculty are trained to operate the Kratos Axis Ultra XPS (click here to go to Kratos website). The instrument is equipped with both monochromated (Al) and dual (Mg and Al) x-ray guns. Additionally, the instrument is equipped with a helium UV source to provide UPS and an Ar ion gun to provide depth profiling. We now have an airfree sample transfer chamber. See the lab manager for additional training if you would like to analyze air sensitive samples.

Charge Structure (Effective January 1, 2007):

Facility Charge: $120.00/hr Subsidized rate for OSU: $60.00/hr Subsidized rate for Chemistry Department: $36.00/hr		Please follow these simple guidelines: 1. Click here to sign up for time. 2. Include your name, phone number and email address. 3. Include your estimated start and stop time. 4. Only sign-up for days that you intend to use. (Don't sign-up for some, in case you will have a sample. 5. Do not sign-up for nights, weekends or holidays without previous permission from me. 6. If you decide at anytime that you will not be able to keep your appointment, please delete it immediately. Charges may be applied to appointments cancelled with 48 hours. 7. Please bring a 100W with you. (You will not be able to perform your experiment without a current 100W.)
